The Ethiopian delegation led by Health Minister Dr. Mekdes Daba is participating in the 79th World Health Assembly being held in Geneva.
Health Minister Dr. Mekdes Daba, who made a speech at the assembly, stated that according to the recently released public health survey findings, Ethiopia has recorded encouraging results in reducing maternal and child mortality, and emphasized that in the future, by ensuring universal health coverage, high attention will be given to primary health care to diligently work towards creating a strong health system.
The Minister stated that focus will be given to continuously improving maternal and child health through the participation of the entire community and the coordination of relevant stakeholders, as well as by ensuring the motivation and benefit of health professionals, and preventing and controlling communicable and non-communicable diseases, and making quality health services accessible with the help of modern technology: also expressed that Ethiopia is committed to working in coordination with the World Health Organization, the African Union, countries, local and international partner organizations, as well as all stakeholders to achieve the sustainable health development goals.

መምጣት የሚፈልጉ የማህበረሰቡ አባላት ቅዳሜ ግንቦት 15 ቀን 2018 ዓ.ም (ማለትም እ.ኤ.አ. ሜይ 23 ቀን 2026) ከሰዓት በኋላ ከ8 ሰዓት ከ30 እስከ 11 ሰዓት ከ30 (በሲያትል አቆጣጠር ከቀኑ 2:30 PM እስከ 5:30 PM) በቡሪያን ኪንግ ካውንቲ የሕዝብ ቤተ-መጻሕፍት ሁለንተናዊ አዳራሽ በመገኘት መሳተፍ እንደሚችሉ ጥሪው ያመለክታል።
በዚህ ታላቅ መርሃ ግብር ላይ የፕሮፌሰር በየነ ጴጥሮስ ባለቤት ወይዘሮ ትሁን ወልዴ እና የበኩር ልጃቸው እርሚሻ ጴጥሮስ በክብር እንግድነት የሚገኙ ሲሆን፣ ስለ ፋውንዴሽኑ የወደፊት ራዕይ፣ እቅዶች እና ስራዎች ሰፊ ገለጻ እንደሚያደርጉ ይጠበቃል። የመሰብሰቢያው ዋነኛ ዓላማም ማህበረሰቡን በጋራ ማገናኘት፣ ውይይት ማድረግ እና ለፕሮፌሰር በየነ ጴጥሮስ ፋውንዴሽን ቤተ-መጻሕፍት እንዲሁም ለባዮሎጂ ተማሪዎች የተዘጋጀውን የነፃ የትምህርት ዕድል ፈንድ ለመደገፍ አቅም ማሰባሰብ እንደሆነ ተገልጿል።

በጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ዐቢይ አሕመድ (ዶ/ር) ሚያዚያ 25 "ኢትዮጵያ ታምርት ለሁለንተናዊ ሉዓላዊነት" በሚል መሪ ሐሳብ የተከፈተው 4ኛው የኢትዮጵያ ታምርት ኤክስፖ በድምቀት ሲካሄድ ቆይቶ በዛሬው ዕለት ይጠናቀቃል።
ተኪ ምርቶችን በዓይነት፣ በጥራትና በብዛት ማምረት የውጭ ምንዛሪ ወጪን ከማስቀረት ባለፈ የዘርፉን አቅም መገንባት የዘመኑ አርበኝነት ተደርጎ ይወሰዳልና ሁነቱ በዘንድሮው የአርበኞች በዓል ላይ ማረፉ ታሪካዊ ግጥምጥሞሽ ሆኗል።
የኢንዱስትሪ ሚኒስትሩ መላኩ አለበል ከፋና ፖድካስት ጋር በነበራቸው ቆይታ እንዳሉት÷ ከኢትዮጵያ ታምርት ንቅናቄ በፊት እንደ ሀገር የነበሩት ኢንዱስትሪዎች አነስተኛ ነበሩ።
የነበሩት ኢንዱስትሪዎችም በኮቪድ 19 ወረርሽኝ ወቅት በምርት ሂደት መስተጓጎላቸው እና በሰሜኑ ጦርነት የጥቃት ኢላማ መሆናቸው ትልቅ ጫና እንደነበር አንስተዋል።
ከዚያ መንገድ ለመውጣት እና አዲስ መንገድ ለመከተል የ“ኢትዮጵያ ታምርት ንቅናቄ” መጀመሩን ያስታወሱት ሚኒስትሩ÷ የኢትዮጵያን አምራች ኢንዱስትሪ ተግዳሮቶች ለመፍታት የሚያግዝ ሰነድ ቀርቦ ውይይት በመደረግ በጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ዐቢይ አሕመድ (ዶ/ር) ድጋፍ ማግኘቱን አመልክተዋል።
በዚህም በንቅናቄው "በኢትዮጵያ ዲዛይን ተደርገው፣ በኢትዮጵያ ተመርተው እና ተገጣጥመው ለሥራ የቀረቡ ማሽኖችን ወደምናይበት ምዕራፍ ተሸጋግረናል" ብለዋል።
