"በኢትዮጵያ ስማርት ስልክ ካላቸው ሴቶች መካከል 27 በመቶ የሚሆኑት ኢንተርኔት ተጠቃሚ አደሉም" - ሪፖርት

⚫10 በመቶ የሚሆኑ ስማርት ስልክ ያላቸው ኢትዮጵያዊያን ሴቶች ስለ ሞባይል ኢንተርኔት እውቀቱ የላቸውም።

የዓለም አቀፍ የሞባይል ኦፕሬተሮች ማኅበር (GSMA) በቅርቡ የሞባይል አጠቃቀም ላይ የጾታ ልዩነትን የሚዳስስ ሪፖርት አውጥቷል። ጥናቱ በ14 ሀገራት ላይ የተሰራ ሲሆን መረጃዎችም እስከ 2025 እ.ኤ.አ መጨረሻ ድረስ ያካትታል።

ጥናቱ በኢትዮጵያ በተለያዩ ክልሎች የሚገኙ 1,000 ዕድሜያቸው ከ 18 እና በላይ የሆኑ ዜጎችን መጠይቅ መሰረት አድርጎ የተሰራ ሲሆን 73% የሚሆነውን የሀገሪቱን ክፍል የሚሸፍን እንደሆነ በጥናቱ ተጠቅሷል። ኢትዮጵያ ከ2022 ጀምሮ በተከታታይ አራት ዓመታት በዚህ ጥናት ውስጥ ተካትታለች።

ጥናቱ ምን አለ ?

በኢትዮጵያ ስማርት ስልክ ካላቸው ሴቶች መካከል 27 በመቶ የሚሆኑት ሞባይል ኢንተርኔት ፈጽሞ አይጠቀሙም ሲል ይህ ቁጥር ከጥናቱ ውስጥ ከተካተቱት 14 ዝቅተኛና መካከለኛ ገቢ ካላቸው ሀገራት ሁሉ ትልቁ ነው።

ከዚህ በተጨማሪ፣ 10 በመቶ የሚሆኑ ስማርት ስልክ ያላቸው ኢትዮጵያዊያን ሴቶች ስለ ሞባይል ኢንተርኔት አገልግሎት መኖር እንኳ አያቁም ሲል ይጠቅሳል። ከወንዶች (5%) ጋር ሲነጻጸር በእጥፍ ይበልጣል።

የግንዛቤ፣ የክህሎት ክፍተትን አጉልቶ በሚያሳየው በዚህ ሪፖርት በአጠቃላይ 74% ወንዶች እና 59% ሴቶች ብቻ ስለ ሞባይል ኢንተርኔት ግንዛቤ እንዳላቸው ይጠቅሳል።

ሪፖርቱ በግልጽ እንደሚያመለክተው፣ በኢትዮጵያ ሴቶች ከወንዶች ይልቅ ሞባይል ኢንተርኔት የመጠቀም ዕድላቸው በ36 በመቶ የሚያንስ ሲሆን ይህም ከባንግላዴሽ (38%) ቀጥሎ ሁለተኛዋ ትልቁ ልዩነት ያላት ሀገር አድርጓታል። ከኡጋንዳ (33%)፣ ናይጄሪያ (26%) እና ህንድ (25%) ልዩነት የተመዘገበባቸው ሀገራት ናቸው።

በጥሩ ጎኝ በሪፓርቱ እንደተጠቀሰው ኢትዮጵያ የሚገኙ ሴቶች በ6 በመቶ ስለኢንተርኔት ያላቸው ግንዛቤ ከ2024 ከነበረው በ2025 ከፍ ብሏል።

በኢትዮጵያ የሚገኙ ሴቶች የሌላ ሰው ስልክ ተውሰው ኢንተርኔት በስፋት ከሚጠቀሙባቸው ሀገራት አንዷ ናት። በዚህም የሌላ ሰው ስልክ ተውሰው ዕለታዊ ተጠቃሚ የሆኑ ሴቶች 24% ብቻ ሲሆኑ የራሳቸው ስልክ ኖሯቸው ዕለታዊ ተጠቃሚ ከሆኑት ሴቶች (53%) በግማሽ ያነሰ ተጠቃሚ ናቸው።

ሪፖርቱ በተጨማሪ ስለ እንቅፋቶች ሲገልጽ፣ ገና ወደ አጠቃቀም ላልገቡ ሴቶች ዋና እንቅፋት የዋጋ ተመጣጣኝነት፣ ቀጥሎ የዲጂታል ክህሎት ማነስ፣ ሦስተኛ ደግሞ "ኢንተርኔት ምን ይጠቅመኛል?" የሚል የአግባብነት ጥያቄ እንደሆነ ይጠቅሳል። ይህ ለወንዶች በተመሳሳይ ደረጃ የማይታይ፣ ለሴቶች ብቻ ጎልቶ የሚወጣ እንቅፋት ነው።

ቀድሞውኑ ኢንተርኔት ለሚጠቀሙ ሴቶች ደግሞ ተጨማሪ አጠቃቀምን የሚገድበው ዋነኛ ምክንያት አሁንም የዋጋ ተመጣጣኝነት ሲሆን፣ ቀጥሎ የሚነሳው እንቅፋት የግንኙነት ጥራት ችግር (ኔትወርክ ፍጥነት/ተደራሽነት) እንደሆነ ያነሳል።

Held in Addis Ababa, the workshop focused intensely on the commercial and technical requirements of the high-capacity terrestrial fiber corridor being developed across the region. Engineered with a fully protected, redundant architecture, the route seamlessly links cable landing stations in Djibouti and Port Sudan via Ethiopia, featuring expert network architecture insights from Ciena, Nokia, and BringCom.

The successful gathering convened leading global technology and connectivity organizations, including Google, Meta (via HIPConsult), Microsoft, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Airtel Africa, Bayobab, WIOCC, Nokia, Ciena, center3, Saudi Vision, and China Mobile International. During these strategic sessions, participating partners and global operators expressed strong interest in leveraging and monetizing the multi-terabit capabilities of the Horizon Fiber corridor.

Jointly developed by the three telecom leaders, the Horizon initiative provides robust data transport, colocation, and hosting services with seamless landing access in Djibouti and Sudan. Designed for high-speed performance and resilience, Horizon empowers next-generation workloads like cloud computing, artificial intelligence, fintech, e-commerce, and digital content delivery.

Ultimately, this milestone showcases how pioneering African operators unite their infrastructure, expertise, and regional reach to shape a more interconnected and digitally empowered future for the continent.

ኢትዮ ቴሌኮም በመላ ሀገራችን በሚገኙ ትምህርት ቤቶች ድጋፍ ለሚሹ ተማሪዎች የመማሪያ ደብተር ድጋፍ አደረገ

የኩባንያችን ዋና ሥራ አስፈጻሚ ፍሬሕይወት ታምሩ የመማሪያ ደብተር ልገሳ መርሃ-ግብሩን በይፋ ያስጀመሩ ሲሆን፤ በዚህም በመላ ሀገራችን በሚገኙ የተመረጡ ትምህርት ቤቶች ለሚማሩ 105,496 ድጋፍ ለሚሹ ተማሪዎች 1,265,952 የመማሪያ ደብተሮች ድጋፍ ተደርጓል።

ኩባንያችን #ለነገ_ተስፋዎች በሚል መሪ ሐሳብ ያዘጋጀው ይህ የአዲስ ዓመት የደብተር ልገሳ፤ ከ113.3 ሚሊዮን ብር በላይ ወጪ የተደረገበት ሲሆን፣ ዓላማውም ተማሪዎች በትምህርት መርጃ መሣሪያዎች እጥረት ምክንያት ከትምህርት ገበታቸው እንዳይቀሩ ተስፋ ለመስጠትና ለመደገፍ ነው።

ኩባንያችን በሚከተለው ሰው-ተኮር ስትራቴጂ መሠረት፣ የደብተር ድጋፉ አካታችነትን ባረጋገጠ መልኩ በአዲስ አበባ እና በሁሉም የሀገራችን ክፍሎች አዲሱ የትምህርት ዘመን ከመጀመሩ በፊት የሚከናወን ነው።

ይህ ተግባር በስትራቴጂያችን ተካትቶ በዕቅድ የሚተገበር ሲሆን፤ የነገ ሀገር ተረካቢ ትውልድ ለማፍራትና በማህበረሰቡ ውስጥ የመደጋገፍ ባህልን ለማጎልበት የምናደርገው ተከታታይ ጥረት አካል ነው።

ኢትዮ ቴሌኮም ባለፉት ሰባት ተከታታይ ዓመታት ለ483.8 ሺህ በላይ ተማሪዎች ከ434.1 ሚሊዮን ብር በላይ ወጪ በማድረግ የመማሪያ ደብተር ድጋፍ አድርጓል።

በ2019 በጀት ዓመት ኩባንያችን ሰፊ ማኅበራዊና ኢኮኖሚያዊ ኢንቨስትመንቶችን በማድረግ የሀገራችንን ዕድገት ለማፋጠንና የዜጎችን ሕይወት ለመቀየር በርካታ ቁልፍ ስትራቴጂያዊ ሥራዎችን ለማከናወን አቅዷል፡፡

በዚህም መሠረት በበጀት ዓመቱ ከ644,000 በላይ ለሚሆኑ የምህዳር አጋሮቻችን (ወኪሎች፣ አቅራቢዎችና የVAS አጋሮች) የገቢ ምንጭ የሚፈጥር ሲሆን፤ ከ49,200 በላይ ለሚሆኑ ሠራተኞችም አስተማማኝ የሥራ ዕድል እንዲቀጥል ያደርጋል።

በተጨማሪም ቀደም ሲል የተፈጠሩ 2.4 ሚሊዮን ቀጥተኛና ቀጥተኛ ያልሆኑ የገቢ ምንጮችን በማስቀጠል፣ ተጨማሪ 163,375 አዳዲስ ቀጥተኛ የሥራ እና የገቢ ዕድሎችን ለመፍጠር ግብ ይዟል።

ኩባንያችን አገራዊ የፋይናንስ አቅምን ለማጠናከር 43.1 ቢሊዮን ብር የትርፍ ክፍፍል (Dividend) ያለመ ሲሆን፤ 83.8 ቢሊዮን ብር ቀጥተኛና ቀጥተኛ ያልሆነ የግብር ገቢ ለሀገራችን ለማበርከት አቅዷል።

በማኅበረሰብ ድጋፍና በጎ አድራጎት ረገድም 8.1 ቢሊዮን ብር ለብሔራዊ የአደጋ ስጋት ምላሽ ፈንድ እንዲሁም ሀገራዊ የልማት ፕሮጀክት ድጋፎችን ሳይጨምር 533 ሚሊዮን ብር ለተለያዩ የማኅበራዊ ኃላፊነት (CSR) ፕሮጀክቶች ያውላል።

በዘላቂ አረንጓዴ ኦፕሬሽን ልማት ረገድም በአረንጓዴ ኃይል አጠቃቀም፣ በካርበን ቅነሳ፣ በፋይናንስ አካታችነት እና በሳይበር ደኅንነት ላይ ትኩረት በማድረግ አገራዊ ተልዕኮውን በቁርጠኝነት ለመወጣት ይሠራል።

ኩባንያችን በ“ቀጣዩ አድማስ” ስትራቴጂ ሁለተኛ ዓመት በቴሌብር አማካኝነት የፋይናንስ አካታችነትን ለማረጋገጥ እንዲሁም የዲጂታል ኢኮኖሚ ሥነ-ምህዳሩን ለማሳደግ የሚያስችሉ ተግባራትን ያከናውናል።

በአዲሱ 2019 በጀት ዓመት የቴሌብር ደንበኞች ቁጥርን በ11.7 በመቶ በማሳደግ 67.69 ሚሊዮን ለማድረስ አቅዷል።

የቴሌብር አጠቃላይ የግብይት ብዛት (Transaction Volume) 4.99 ቢሊዮን ለማድረስ የታቀደ ሲሆን፣ ይህም 7.4 ትሪሊዮን ብር የሚገመት የገንዘብ ፍሰት በዲጂታል ሥርዓቱ ውስጥ ለማንቀሳቀስ ያስችላል።

የአነስተኛ ብድር አገልግሎት ከ17.18 ሚሊዮን በላይ ለሚሆኑ ደንበኞች 35.04 ቢሊዮን ብር ለመስጠት ታቅዷል። ይህም ለግለሰቦችና ለአነስተኛ ንግዶች የዲጂታል ብድር አገልግሎቶች ተደራሽነት መስፋፋት ከፍተኛ አስተዋጽኦ ይኖረዋል፡፡

የዲጂታል ቁጠባ መጠን ወደ 29.39 ቢሊዮን ብር እንዲያድግ የታቀደ ሲሆን፤ ይህም ለ3.88 ሚሊዮን ደንበኞች የፋይናንስ ደኅንነትን የሚፈጥርና የቁጠባ ባህልን የሚያሳድግ ነው።

ቴሌብር የሀገራችንን ዲጂታል ፋይናንስ አካታችነት እና የዲጂታል ሥነ-ምህዳር አንቀሳቃሽ ሞተር በመሆን የዲጂታል ኢትዮጵያን ጉዞ ማፋጠኑን አጠናክሮ ይቀጥላል።

ኩባንያችን በ“ቀጣዩ አድማስ፡ ዲጂታል እና ከዚያም ባሻገር 2028” ስትራቴጂው ሁለተኛ ዓመት ማለትም በ2019 በጀት ዓመት ተግባራዊ የሚያደርገውን ዓመታዊ የቢዝነስ እቅዱን ይፋ አድርጓል።

በ2019 በጀት ዓመቱ የ4G የህዝብ ሽፋንን ወደ 95% ለማድረስ፣ የ4G አገልግሎት ተጠቃሚ ከተሞችን ቁጥር ከ1,200 ወደ 1,500 ከፍ ለማድረግ እንዲሁም የ5G አገልግሎት የሚሰጡ ከተሞችን ቁጥር ከ33 ወደ 73 ለማድረስ ታቅዷል።

በአጠቃላይ በጀት ዓመቱ የደንበኞችን ቁጥር 96.2 ሚሊዮን እንዲሁም የቴሌብር ተጠቃሚ ደንበኞችን ብዛት 67.69 ሚሊዮን ለማድረስ ታቅዷል።

በበጀት ዓመቱ 312 አዳዲስና የተሻሻሉ ምርትና አገልግሎቶችን ለግለሰብ እና ድርጅት ደንበኞች ወደ ገበያ በማቅረብ፣ አጠቃላይ ዓመታዊ ገቢን ወደ 295 ቢሊዮን ብር ለማድረስ ዕቅድ ተይዟል።

ኩባንያችን በ“ቀጣዩ አድማስ” የሦስት ዓመት ስትራቴጂ የመጀመሪያ ዓመት በርካታ ስኬቶችን በማስመዝገብ፤ በተለይም ከቁጥር ዕድገት ባሻገር ለሀገራችን ሁለንተናዊ ኢኮኖሚያዊ ዕድገትና ለዜጎች ትርጉም ያለው የአኗኗር ዘይቤ መሻሻል የላቀ አስተዋጽኦ አበርክቷል።

ኩባንያችን የኢትዮጵያን የዲጂታል ኢኮኖሚ እውን ለማድረግ እንዲሁም በቀጣናዊና በዓለም አቀፍ የዲጂታል ኢኮኖሚ ዘርፍ አዳዲስ ዕድሎችን ለመክፈት እያደረገ የሚገኘውን ሁሉን አቀፍ ጥረት አጠናክሮ የሚቀጥል ይሆናል።

በአጠቃላይ በጀት ዓመቱ የደንበኞችን ቁጥር 96.2 ሚሊዮን እንዲሁም የቴሌብር ተጠቃሚ ደንበኞችን ብዛት 67.69 ሚሊዮን ለማድረስ ታቅዷል።

Ethio telecom CEO and ZTE Senior Leadership Hold Strategic Discussions Enhancing Partnership to Accelerate Ethiopia’s Digital Transformation

Ethio telecom CEO Frehiwot Tamru hosted a high-level delegation from ZTE Corporation, led by its Executive Vice President and COO, Mr. Xie Junshi. The meeting evaluated the successful progress of the landmark Network Expansion and Modernization Agreement finalized during the Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona. This engagement underscores a shared vision for accelerating digital infrastructure under the company's Next Horizon: Digital & Beyond 2028 Strategy.

As part of the end-to-end network modernization in the ZTE circle, which encompasses 879 sites, 462 RAN modernization sites (which include LTE layering at 180 sites, LTE upgrading at 248 sites, and a full SWAP of 102 sites), 237 MW link upgrades, and 103 IP RAN site expansions were successfully completed. On top of this, the remaining scopes of the modernization program are under execution, which include 124 new sites, U2100 refarming at 272 sites, and 115 rural solution sites.

This rollout has significantly widened high-speed connectivity, pushing national 4G mobile population coverage to an impressive 92% in ZTE circle. These sites now serve as a robust digital backbone for the nation's evolving economy, enhancing connectivity for millions of citizens across Ethiopia.

CEO Frehiwot Tamru expressed her sincere appreciation for the project's successful execution, emphasizing its vital contribution to achieving the Next Horizon Year One targets. Ethio telecom CEO Frehiwot Tamru hosted a high-level delegation from ZTE Corporation, led by its Executive Vice President and COO, Mr. Xie Junshi. The meeting evaluated the successful progress of the landmark Network Expansion and Modernization Agreement finalized during the Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona. This engagement underscores a shared vision for accelerating digital infrastructure under the company's Next Horizon: Digital & Beyond 2028 Strategy.

As part of the end-to-end network modernization in the ZTE circle, which encompasses 879 sites, 462 RAN modernization sites (which include LTE layering at 180 sites, LTE upgrading at 248 sites, and a full SWAP of 102 sites), 237 MW link upgrades, and 103 IP RAN site expansions were successfully completed. On top of this, the remaining scopes of the modernization program are under execution, which include 124 new sites, U2100 refarming at 272 sites, and 115 rural solution sites.

This rollout has significantly widened high-speed connectivity, pushing national 4G mobile population coverage to an impressive 92% in ZTE circle. These sites now serve as a robust digital backbone for the nation's evolving economy, enhancing connectivity for millions of citizens across Ethiopia.

በመርሃ-ግብሩ ላይ ዋና ሥራ አስፈጻሚያችን ፍሬሕይወት ታምሩ እንደገለጹት፤ ይህ ተግባር ኩባንያችን በዘላቂነት ስትራቴጂው (Sustainability Strategy) የሚያከናውናቸው ተግባራት አካል ሲሆን፣ ባለፉት ሰባት ዓመታት ከተተከሉ ከ4.6 ሚሊዮን በላይ ችግኞች 82.7% እንዲጸድቁ መደረጉን አብራርተዋል።

Rural Connectivity: Empowering Communities and Bridging the Digital Divide!

Ethio telecom has successfully completed the first year of its Next Horizon: Digital & Beyond 2028 Strategy, marking significant progress in bridging Ethiopia’s digital divide. At the heart of this strategy is our commitment to inclusive, sustainable and transformative rural connectivity, ensuring that geography, distance and limited access to electricity do not prevent communities from participating in the digital economy.

During the fiscal year, we deployed 195 new rural mobile sites, reaching communities located, on average, 14.3 kilometres from the nearest town and 10.6 kilometres from the nearest existing mobile site. This demonstrates our deliberate focus on connecting Ethiopia’s most remote and underserved areas.

This expansion extended connectivity and digital access to 117 woredas and 492 kebeles and villages, enabling more than 1.53 million people to benefit from reliable communications, digital platforms and inclusive financial services.

To address power limitations in remote areas, we deployed 22 additional Rural Solution sites, specifically designed to serve communities with limited or no access to the national electricity grid. We also significantly expanded our green energy infrastructure, increasing installed solar power capacity from 27 MW to 39.72 MW, an additional 12.72 MW in just one year. This investment strengthens network resilience, reduces dependence on conventional energy sources and advances our environmental sustainability commitments.

Connectivity must also translate into meaningful access to essential services. Through our Rural Agent Project, we onboarded 812 new agents across 17 regions, achieving a 58% active-agent rate and bringing telebirr and other essential digital financial services closer to previously underserved communities. Going forward, we will focus on further improving agent activation, productivity and service availability.

We also advanced the fiberization of rural wireless sites, strengthening network capacity, reliability and service quality while preparing rural communities for growing digital demand.

As we successfully conclude Year One of our Next Horizon: Digital & Beyond 2028 Strategy, Ethio telecom continues to expand and modernize the critical digital infrastructure powering Ethiopia’s transformation.

During the year, we deployed 603 new mobile sites, expanding our nationwide footprint to 10,613 sites, while adding capacity for 10.2 million customers and scaling total mobile network capacity to 115.1 million. To strengthen network resilience, 44% of our sites are supported by backup generators, while 24% of off-grid sites are powered by solar energy.

We expanded 4G/LTE services to 264 additional towns, bringing the total to 1,200 towns and increasing 4G population coverage to 82.2%. Our 5G network now reaches 33 towns, including seven added during the year accelerating access to high-speed, next-generation digital services.

We also strengthened the high-capacity foundation of Ethiopia’s digital economy. Our national backbone fiber and OPGW network now spans 23,422 km, supported by 15,615 km of metro fiber. Total Optical Distribution Network capacity reached 1.46 million, comprising 708,992 greenfield capacity and 759,735 copper-switch-off capacity.

During the year, we migrated 100,000 customers from copper to fiber, helping the fixed-broadband customer base surpass the historic milestone of one million, of whom 443,298 are connected through fiber.

International gateway and local content-cache capacity increased by 1.8 Tbps to 4.3 Tbps, achieving 172% of the annual target. Expanded caching for leading global platforms, including Google, Meta, Netflix, TikTok and Cloudflare, is bringing content closer to users, improving speed and service experience while reducing international bandwidth dependency.

Together, these achievements reinforce Ethio telecom’s role as a principal architect and catalyst of Digital Ethiopia 2030 building a high-speed, resilient, inclusive and future-ready digital infrastructure that connects citizens, empowers businesses, modernizes institutions and unlocks new opportunities across Ethiopia.

የኢትዮጵያ ቴሌኮም የድምፅ እና የዳታ ዋጋ ዝቅተኛ ሆኖ መቆየት ተገቢ አለመሆኑን በመግለጽ፣ በተለይም የውጭ ምንዛሬ ማሻሻያ የፈጠረው የአስተዳደር ወጪ ጫና፣ የቴክኖሎጂ ግብዓቶች ዋጋ መጨመር በምክንያትነት እየቀረቡ ቆይተዋል፡፡

የዘርፉን የጥናት ውጤቶች ተከትሎ ሳፋሪኮም ኢትዮጵያ የኢትዮጵያ የቴሌኮም ዘርፍ አዋጭነት ጥያቄ ውስጥ መግባቱን መግለጹና የዋጋ ማሻሻያ ማድረጉ ይታወሳል፡፡ ይህ የዋጋ ማሻሻያ በኢትዮ ቴሌኮም በኩል ሊኖር እንደሚችልም ይጠበቃል፡፡

የቴሌኮም ዘርፍ ተቆጣጣሪ ተቋሙ የኢትዮጵያ ኮሙኒኬሽን ባለስልጣን የዋጋ ማሻሻያው መደረግ እንዳለበት እና የአገልግሎት ዋጋ ከወጪ በታች መሆን እንደሌለበት ማሳወቁ ተሰምቷል፡፡

የዘርፉ ባለሙያዎች እንደሚገልፁት ኢትዮ ቴሌኮም ዘርፉ ለውድድር ክፍት ከመደረጉ በፊት በተለይም እንደ ኢትዮጵያውያን አቆጣጠር ከ2011 አንስቶ ከፍተኛ የዋጋ ቅናሽ በማድረግ ዲጂታል ቴክኖሎጂን ለማስፋፋት መስራቱ ከፍተኛ እውቅና አትርፎለታል፡፡

የታሪፍ ቅናሹ በተለይ ዝቅተኛ ገቢ ያላቸው ዜጎች ወደ ዲጂታል የፋይናንስ እና ቴሌኮም ሥርዓት እንዲካተቱ የራሱን አስተዋፅኦ በማድረጉ ደንበኞቹን በእነዚህ ጊዜያት ውስጥ ከ37 ሚሊዮን ወደ 85 ሚሊዮን ማሳደጉን በዓመታዊ ሪፖርቱ መግለጹ የሚታወስ ነው።

በቴሌብር አገልግሎት ብቻ በአራት ዓመት ውስጥ ከ55 ሚሊዮን በላይ ደንበኞች አፍርቶ በየዕለቱም 11 ቢሊዮን ብር ግብይት የሚከናወንበት መሆኑም ይታወቃል፡፡

በዚህም በአፍሪካ እና በዓለም አቀፍ ደረጃ ዝቅተኛ ታሪፍ ያለው ቴሌኮም አቅራቢ መሆኑ በGSMA እና በዓለም አቀፉ የቴሌኮም ሕብረት (ITU) ሲገለጽ ቆይቷል፡፡

ሳፋሪኮም በበኩሉ ከ12 ሚሊዮን በላይ ደንበኛ ይዞ እየሰራ መሆኑ ሲታይ የሀገሪቱ የቴሌኮም ዘርፍ 100 ሚሊዮን ደንበኞች ያሉት መሆኑን ያመላክታል፡፡

የዘርፉ ባለሙያዎች በተለይ የማክሮ የኢኮኖሚ ማሻሻያውን ተከትሎ የቴሌኮም አንቀሳቃሾች በያዙት ታሪፍ መቀጠል እንደማያስችላቸው ሲገልጹ ነበር፡፡

ሳፋሪኮም ኢትዮጵያ በበኩሉ የታሪፍ ይጨመር ጥያቄ ወደ ኢትዮጵያ ከገባበት ያለፉት ሦስት ዓመታት ያልተቋረጠ መሆኑን ምንጮች አክለው ገልጸዋል፡፡

በሳምንቱ መጀመሪያ ወጪ በዛብኝ ያለው ሳፋሪኮም እስከ 82 በመቶ የሚደርስ የኢንተርኔት ዋጋ ጭማሪ ማድረጉ ይታወሳል፡፡
