በጤና ሚኒስትር ዶ/ር መቅደስ ዳባ የተመራዉ የኢትዮጵያ ልዑካን ቡድን በጄኔቫ እየተካሄደ በለዉ 79ኛዉ የዓለም ጤና ጉባኤ ላይ እየተሳተፈ ይገኛል።
በጉባኤዉ ላይ ንግግር ያደረጉት የጤና ሚኒስትር ዶ/ር መቅደስ ዳባ በቅርቡ ይፋ የሆነዉ የህብረተሰብ ጤና ዳሰሳ ጥናት ግኝት መሰረት ኢትዮጵያ የእናቶችና ህጻናት ሞትን በመቀነስ ረገድ አመርቂ ዉጤት ማስመዝገቧን በመግለጽ በቀጣይም አለም አቀፍ የጤና ተደራሽነትን በማረጋገጥ ለመጀመሪያ ደረጃ ጤና ክብካቤ ከፍተኛ ትኩረት ተሰጥቶ ጠንካራ የጤና ስርዓት እንዲፈጠር በትጋት እንደሚሰራ አጽንኦት በመስጠት ተናግረዋል።
በመላዉ ህብረተሰብ ተሳትፎና የሚመለከታቸዉ ባለድርሻ አካላት ቅንጅት እንዲሁም የጤና ባለሙያዉን ተነሳሽነትና ተጠቃሚነት በማረጋገጥ የእናቶችና ህጸናት ጤናን በቀጣይነት ማሻሻል፣ ተላላፊና ተላላፊ ያልሆኑ በሽታዎችን መከላከልና መቆጣጠር፣ በዘመናዊ ቴክኖሎጂ በመታገዝ ጥራት ያለዉ የጤና አገልግሎት ተደራሽ እንዲሆን በትኩረት እንደሚሰራ የገለጹት ሚኒስትሯ ኢትዮጵያ ቀጣይነት ያለዉ የጤና ልማት ግቦችን ለማሳካት ከዓለም ጤና ድርጅት፣ ከአፍርካ ህብረት፣ ከሀገራት፣ ከሀገር በቀልና አለም አቀፍ አጋር ድርጅቶች እንዲሁም ሁሉም ባለድርሻ አካላት ጋር በቅንጅት ለመስራት ቁርጠኛ መሆኗን ገልጸዋል።

The Ethiopian delegation led by Health Minister Dr. Mekdes Daba is participating in the 79th World Health Assembly being held in Geneva.
Health Minister Dr. Mekdes Daba, who made a speech at the assembly, stated that according to the recently released public health survey findings, Ethiopia has recorded encouraging results in reducing maternal and child mortality, and emphasized that in the future, by ensuring universal health coverage, high attention will be given to primary health care to diligently work towards creating a strong health system.
The Minister stated that focus will be given to continuously improving maternal and child health through the participation of the entire community and the coordination of relevant stakeholders, as well as by ensuring the motivation and benefit of health professionals, and preventing and controlling communicable and non-communicable diseases, and making quality health services accessible with the help of modern technology: also expressed that Ethiopia is committed to working in coordination with the World Health Organization, the African Union, countries, local and international partner organizations, as well as all stakeholders to achieve the sustainable health development goals.
