የሽልማት ሥነ ሥርዓቱ ኅዳር 19 ቀን 2026 በኒውዮርክ ከተማ የሚካሄድ ሲሆን፣ ከተለያዩ አገራት የተውጣጡ ጋዜጠኞች በድፍረታቸውና በሙያዊ ተግባራቸው ይሸለማሉ።

As we successfully conclude Year One of our Next Horizon: Digital & Beyond 2028 Strategy, Ethio telecom continues to expand and modernize the critical digital infrastructure powering Ethiopia’s transformation.
During the year, we deployed 603 new mobile sites, expanding our nationwide footprint to 10,613 sites, while adding capacity for 10.2 million customers and scaling total mobile network capacity to 115.1 million. To strengthen network resilience, 44% of our sites are supported by backup generators, while 24% of off-grid sites are powered by solar energy.
We expanded 4G/LTE services to 264 additional towns, bringing the total to 1,200 towns and increasing 4G population coverage to 82.2%. Our 5G network now reaches 33 towns, including seven added during the year accelerating access to high-speed, next-generation digital services.
We also strengthened the high-capacity foundation of Ethiopia’s digital economy. Our national backbone fiber and OPGW network now spans 23,422 km, supported by 15,615 km of metro fiber. Total Optical Distribution Network capacity reached 1.46 million, comprising 708,992 greenfield capacity and 759,735 copper-switch-off capacity.
During the year, we migrated 100,000 customers from copper to fiber, helping the fixed-broadband customer base surpass the historic milestone of one million, of whom 443,298 are connected through fiber.
International gateway and local content-cache capacity increased by 1.8 Tbps to 4.3 Tbps, achieving 172% of the annual target. Expanded caching for leading global platforms, including Google, Meta, Netflix, TikTok and Cloudflare, is bringing content closer to users, improving speed and service experience while reducing international bandwidth dependency.
Together, these achievements reinforce Ethio telecom’s role as a principal architect and catalyst of Digital Ethiopia 2030 building a high-speed, resilient, inclusive and future-ready digital infrastructure that connects citizens, empowers businesses, modernizes institutions and unlocks new opportunities across Ethiopia.

ከሁለት ወር በኋላ እኔም ዳንኩ እሷም 'አሁን ደህና ስለሆነችና regular check up ህክምናዋን ከቤት እየመጣች በትክክል እስከተከታተለች ድረስ እስከ full life expectancy'ዋ መኖር ትችላለች "ድናለች"(it's not a fatal type of cancer if well-treated) ተብላ ቤት መጣች። በደስታ አበድን። "back to normal life somehow".. ከዛ ውጤትም መጣ (519)። I knew I had a bad year ግን still ተበሳጭቼ ነበር (የ highschool ego'ዬ ሙሉ በሙሉ አልጠፋም ነበር 😁)። ግቢ ገባሁ። ፍሬሽ year እግዚአብሔር ይመስገን በሰላም ጨረስኩ። 2nd year'ም ምንም አይልም ነበር። 3ተኛ አመት ላይ ግን ድጋሚ አመማት። traumaዬ እንዳለ መመለስ ጀመረ. እንቅልፍ እምቢ አለኝ... በዚያ ላይ the way the medical expenses hit us last time, ቃል የለኝም ታቁታላቹ የበሽታውን ባህሪይ (የደሟ ናሙና በየሁለት ወሩ ነው ውጪ ሚላከው).. እሱን እሱንም ሳስብ I knew we ain't gonna afford a single tablet this time!!!
በመጨረሻም አሁን ላይ እንደገና ደከማት። ደምም አንሷታል ብለው ደም ሰጥተው ቤት ላኳት። ከመጣች በኋላ ግን በጣም አመማት። ከአልጋ ላይ ራሱ ተነስታ መቆም አትችልም ከቀን ወደ ቀን ስቃይ ነው ምግብም ብዙ አይበላላትም ዶክተሩ ግን በቀጣይ ቀጠሮ ሰውነቷ ተመልሶ ማየት ፈልጋለሁ ብሏት ነበር። እንዲ ብሎ ከላካት በኋላ አሁን እንደዚ እንደደከማት አላየም። መድሃኒቱም አለቀ እስከ ቀጠሮው ቀን የምትውጠው። አሁኑኑ ዶክተር ካላያት እየተባለ ነው ግን we can't afford it right now! ቁጭ ብዬ ስቃዩዋን ማየት ከበደኝ 😭😭😭 የምሰራው video editing'ም በቂ ገንዘብ ሊያመጣልኝ አልቻለም። I can't lose her man I CAN'T!!!!! እማዬን አድኑልኝ!! ከማበዴ በፊት እናቴን አትርፉልኝ ዝም ብላቹ አትዩኝ PLEASE🙏🙏😭😭😭

የዛሬ አራት አመት አከባቢ እማዬን፤ እናትዬን ካንሰር አገኘብኝ። ያኔ እኔ 12ተኛ ክፍል ነበርኩ። 2015 ከገባበት ጊዜ ጀምሮ አመቱን ሙሉ ጥቁር አንበሳ ሆስፒታል ስትሰቃይ ነው የከረመችው። እኔም ከዛ በኋላ ፍፁም ሌላ ሰው ሆንኩ። በእኩለ ቀን አይኔን ሳልዘጋ ያቃዠኛል፤ መከራዋ ድንገት ድቅን ይልብኛል፤ ከሰዎች ጋር ቆሜ የሚታየኝ የሚሰማኝ ግን ሲቃ ነው ትምህርቱም አስጠላኝ ( btw I was really famous for my IQ and academic performance... እኔ ነበርኩ ማትሪክ ከፍተኛ ይሰራል ተብዬ ምጠበቀው) እናቴ ለኔ ትምህርት ራሷን ጥላ፤ እኔ በትምህርት ትልቅ ደረጃ ደርሼ ለማየት ሁሉ ነገሯን ሰውታ ቀርፃ ነው ያሳደገችኝ። የዘወትር የልጅነት ህልሜም አድጌ በሳይንሱ ዘርፍ ስኬታማ ሆኜ አሳይቻት የደስታና የተድላ ኑሮ ማኖር ነበር። 12ተኛ ክፍል ላይ ግን ሁሉም ነገር ተጠቅልሎ ገሃነም ገባብኝ። ስቃዩዋ እንደ ቁስል እየጠዘጠዘኝ እንኳን ላጠና ሌላ ነገር ማሰብ ራሱ አልቻልኩም (ድንገት ደንግጬ እነሳለሁ በለሊት... ስልክ እንዳልደውል ሰዓቱ በጣም ሄዷል)።
