A young Ethiopian student in the UK is making headlines for his extraordinary determination and creativity. Kidus Tesera, 24, is cycling 780 miles across Britain on a bicycle he built almost entirely from recycled parts and wood.

Currently studying at Imperial College London, Kidus first discovered his passion for bike-building while repairing a secondhand bicycle at the university’s workshop. Inspired by the process, he went a step further—designing and crafting his own eco-friendly bike from discarded materials.

የአፍሪካ የአየር ንብረት ፋውንዴሽን ይህንን ተልዕኮ ለማሳካት ከተለያዩ የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅቶች ጋር እየሰራ ሲሆን መቀመጫውን በጋና ባደረገው ከአፍሪካ ቻይና ሴንተር ፎር ፖሊሲ ኤንድ አድቫይዘሪ ጋር በጋራ በመሆን በአይነቱ የመጀመሪያ የሆነውን የአረንጓዴ ፋይናንስ ወርክሾፕ በአዲስ አበባ በጎልደን ቱሊፕ ሆቴል በጥምረት አዘግጅተዋል። ከዚህም ወርክሾፕ ለፖሊሲ ግብአት የሚሆን ሪፖርት እየተዘጋጀ ሲሆን በቀጣይነት ይህን መሰል ዝግጅቶችን በኢትዮጵያ ለማዘጋጀት እየተሰራ መሆኑም ተገልጿል።

ከ45 በላይ ተሳተፊዎች ከተለያዩ ዘርፎች ተገኝተው ስለ አረንጓዴ ልማት እና ለጀማሪ የስራ ፈጣሪዎች ክፍት ሊሆን ስለሚገባ ፋይናንስ በስፋት ከተወያዩ በኋላ ባንኮች፣ የፋይናንስ ተቋማት እንዲሁም መንግስት ሃላፊነታቸውን እንዲወጡ ጥሪ አቅርበዋል። በሀገሪቷ እየተካሄዱ ያሉ ሪፎርሞችም መታገዝ እንደሚገባቸው እና ለተሳካና ለተሳለጠ አተገባበር ሁሉም አካል በትብብር ሊሰራ እንደሚገባ ተጠቁሟል። #fastmereja

አፍሪካ ቻይና ሴንተር ፎር ፖሊሲ ኤንድ አድቫይዘሪ /Africa China Center For Policy and Advisory/ (ACCPA) ከየአፍሪካ የአየር ንብረት ፋውዴሽን /Africa Climate Foundation/ (ACF) ጋር በመተባበር በአይነቱ ልዩ እና በኢትዮጵያ የመጀመሪያ የሆነውን የአረንጓዴ ፋይናንስ ወርክሾፕ (Green Finance Workshop) በአዲስ አበባ አዘጋጅተዋል።

የአፍሪካ የአየር ንብረት ፋውንዴሽን የአረንጓዴ ፋይናንስ (Green Finance) ትግበራን ለማቀላጠፍ ያለውን ጠንካራ ቁርጠኝነት በዚህ የአርንጓዴ ፋይናንስ ወርክሾፕ አሳይቷል።

አረንጓዴ ፋይናንስ ለአፍሪካ ሀገራት ዘላቂ የኢንዱስትሪ ለውጥን ለማምጣት አስፈላጊ እና ወሳኝ መሆኑን አዲስ አበባ በተካሄደው የአረንጓዴ ፋይናንስ ወርክሾፕ (Green Finance Workshop) ላይ ተገልጿል።

የፖሊሲ አውጪዎች፣ የፋይናንስ ተቋማት፣ ባለሀብቶች፣ የስታርታፕ መሪዎች እና ከተለያዩ የህብረተሰብ ክፍሎች የተወጣጡ ተሳታፊዎች በተገኙበት በዚህ ወርክሾፕ የአፍሪካ የአየር ንብረት ፋውንዴሽን ፕሮግራም ማናጀር አቶ ሳህሌ ፈቀደ የአረንጓዴ ፋይናንስ የአየር ንብረት ለውጥን ለማስቀረት እጅግ ወሳኝ እና የባለድርሻ አካላትን ስትራቴጂካዊ ትብብር የሚጠይቅ መሆኑን ገልጸዋል።
