Kenya’s Faith Kipyegon closes out the 50th PreClassic with a jaw-dropping 3:48.68 world record in the women’s 1500m at the 2025 Prefontaine Classic - Wanda Diamond League meeting in Eugene, Oregon.

She lowers her own world record by 0.36 seconds almost exactly a year to the day after setting it.

Ethiopian 🇪🇹 Diribe Welteji was second in a personal best time 3:51.44.
